3D scanning and digital surveys

A detailed digital
record of your
property.

We use Matterport and professional 360 degree cameras to capture properties in 3D. The finished model can be viewed online, shared with the project team and used to take reference measurements after the visit. Depending on the survey package, we can also provide floor plans and export data for design teams.

What you get

One scan, five
finished outputs.

  • 01

    3D digital model

We create a digital model of the property that can be viewed through a web browser and shared by link. It provides a clear record of the layout and visible condition of the property at the time of the survey.

  • 02

    Measured floor plans

Floor plan outputs can be produced from the scan with room layouts, dimensions and floor areas. The exact format and level of detail should be agreed when the scan is booked.

  • 03

    360 degree virtual tours

We can produce high resolution 360 degree views that allow the property to be viewed remotely. They can be used to present completed projects, market properties or record a building before work begins.

  • 04

    Measurements and survey data

Reference measurements can be taken from the digital model after the site visit. Where the project requires it and the relevant export is included, survey data can also be supplied to architects, engineers and other members of the design team.

  • 05

    Progress and condition records

A property can be scanned at different stages of construction to create a dated record of the work. This can document existing conditions, construction progress and visible services before walls, ceilings or floors are closed.

Benefits

Why use a
3D property scan?

Fewer return visits

The digital model can reduce repeat visits made only to check a dimension or review the existing layout.

Better project information

A detailed digital record gives the project team better information when reviewing the property and preparing the work.

Design coordination

Architects and engineers can review the existing property remotely and, where suitable, use the available survey data as part of their design process.

Property marketing

A 360 degree tour allows prospective buyers, tenants or clients to view a property remotely.

Condition records

A dated scan provides a useful record of the visible condition of the property at a particular point in time.

Completed building records

A final scan can provide a useful digital record for maintenance, management and future alterations.

Kit and expertise

Professional property
capture for
construction work.

We use Matterport for 3D property capture and floor plan outputs, together with professional Insta360 cameras for 360 degree images. Because the service is provided by a construction company, the survey is reviewed in the context of the building and the work being planned.
